The Certainty of Spring
Come with me into the woods where spring is
advancing, as it does, no matter what,
not being singular or particular, but one
of the forever gifts, and certainly visible.
- Mary Oliver
As we enter the first spring of this new decade, it is in a moment of deep uncertainty. We are figuring out how to work remotely when the work we do is big and messy and collaborative. We are brainstorming ways to keep our team purposely at work without the tools, space and community we normally require to do our jobs.
We are holding on to our new year's commitment to optimism. In this case, it is in knowing that artists, designers and entrepreneurs are especially well-positioned to creatively navigate change and adversity.
At home, we are channeling our best Maria Montessori with two small children beside us and school throughout the state closed. We are finding gratitude in our bright and cozy home with its well-stocked pantry. At the same time, we are allowing ourselves to be comforted by the new season of crocuses and daffodils, called into the woods to collect nettle tops and by the added sunlight on our faces.
We hope you and your families are all well and that you can find your own small way to embrace that spring has come and at least there is that. We are here to help in any way that we can.
Thank you for your support over the past 12 years and for doing your part to contribute to your local communities through this time.
