1% For The Planet

As part of our annual commitment, we made our 1% For The Planet donation this week. This year we decided to support the National Parks Foundation and Save Bristol Bay. We have supported the National Parks before, but thought it was especially important this year as they are facing national budget cuts that will severely affect their 397 parks. The Orvis/TU Save Bristol Bay Campaign is an effort to protect Bristol Bay, a pristine fish and wildlife habitat, in southwest Alaska which is currently under threat from the construction of a large gold and copper mine called Pebble.
